Purely vegetarian since 2023 and predominantly organic or regional – together with the Naturhof
Since the founding of the Kientalerhof in its current form (1985), our kitchen was strongly influenced by the macrobiotic philosophy – in no small part due to Andreas Bossert, who guided the fate of the kitchen at the Kientalerhof with interruptions from 1986 to 2022. At the end of 2022 Andi retired and the management of the kitchen was handed to Matthieu Lenoir.
Today, Matthieu and the kitchen team playfully combine influences from the macrobiotic tradition at Kientalerhof and new impulses, culinary inspirations from all over the world and a strong regional reference – for example with ingredients from the permaculture garden of the Kientaler Naturhof, which also belongs to the Kientalerhof. Our kitchen team uses mostly seasonal, regional or organic ingredients.

At our self-service buffet you can expect a fresh, balanced and since early 2023 completely vegetarian cuisine. In most cases, a vegan as well as a gluten-free option is also available. For the planning of the quantities, however, we are happy if you tell us in advance about your vegan and / or gluten-free diet. Usually the lunch consists of a salad, a main course and a dessert. The Dinner consists of soup and a main course.
Our meal times:
Breakfast from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. / for holiday guests (without cure/course) upon prior notification until 09:30 a.m.
Lunch from 12:30 to 13:15
Dinner from 18:30 to 19:15
