Holistic Dance
Transformation through Dance, Movement & Touch
Holistic Dance Teachers Training Programme (with Certificate) with Sabine Parzer
The Holistic Dance Teachers Training is accredited by ISMETA (International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association). The Teachers Training focuses on the holistic aspects of dance, movement and touch. Exploring the sensitivity of our inner body (soma) and the mobility of our outer body (physis) creates a relational field that promotes health, resilience and development.
The intimate exploration of and with the BodyMind enables profound relationships with self, others and space/environment/spirit. By exploring our own creative process of embodiment, we gain access to the pedagogy we need to teach these approaches and share them with others.
The Holistic Dance Teachers Training is designed for people working in artistic, therapeutic, educational, social or medical fields and professions who are interested in creative, embodied and transformative learning. Participants are welcome to attend both for their individual development and as professional training. This training is open to everyone, regardless of age, identity, origin or professional background.
The Teachers Training offers trauma-sensitive approaches through dance, movement and touch and is not a substitute for psychotherapy.
The Concept
The Holistic Dance Teachers Training focuses on the holistic aspects of dance, movement and touch. Exploring the depth of our inner body (soma) and the mobility of our outer body (physis) creates a relational field that we call the BodyMind. The intimate exploration of and with the BodyMind enables rich relationships with self, others and space/environment/spirit. By exploring our own creative process of embodiment, we gain access to the pedagogy we need to teach these approaches and share them with others.

Training Structure
6 modules: 5 modules of 5 days each and a 6-day final module.
Each module places particular emphasis on a specific quality/method; however, all forms/methods are practised and integrated throughout all modules. The first half of the training is dedicated to the personal embodiment process. In the second half, the focus shifts towards integrating personal process with pedagogy and theory. All teaching situations invite an interactive and multidimensional learning style.
