Sanjib Pal

is an award-winning and renowned tabla virtuoso from Kolkata, known for his balanced and clear accompaniment of vocal and instrumental music. He was taught at a young age in Nabadwip (West Bengal) by Sunil Karmakar and Hironmoy Biswas. Later he became an important disciple of the legendary tabla maestro Pandit Shankar Gosh, who is known for his brilliant accompaniment of Ustad Ali Akhbar Khan, Ustad Vilayet Khan and Pandit Ravi Shankar. Sanjib is a recipient of the National Award (2000) and the National Youth Festival Award of Ahmedabad and has performed on various international platforms on television and radio in India and around the world.
