Shiatsu and Contact Improvisation

How we as therapists can always enjoy our treatments in a new playful way, pleasantly connected to the body and with a fresh mind.

Course content

Contact Improvisation is considered a dance style and has many parallels with Shiatsu. Here, too, the following applies: first arrive in your body. Be free in your mind, be connected with the inner impulses of movement, be completely with yourself, be free of any expectations. Only then go into contact with a person.

Playing and exploring with accepting and giving weight at a chosen point of contact in full freedom of movement. Self-determination, self-responsibility, experimentation play a big role.

We integrate our familiar Shiatsu with this technique and philosophy. We look at concrete blockages in the physical and psychological system, share the impressions gained. In doing so, we generally reduce the speed in the practice so that we have the possibility to experience more levels without stress.

Be surprised how the dance of life, of the moment, of listening, of being feels during a treatment and what you can take home with you.

Course Objectives

• to get to know the basics and philosophy of Contact Improvisation (CI)
• to connect the orientation of CI with the Shiatsu style used up to now
• integration of concrete complaints
• to be able to follow the fascia movements while resting and listening to them

Finally, our goal is to come to a good feeling within ourselves, to open our hearts and to share this kokoro with those we meet in our lives.

Course times

1st day: 1.30 - 6 pm
2nd day: 9 - 12.30 / 2 - 6 / 8 - 10 pm *
3rd day: 9 - 12.30 / 2 - 4.30 pm
*the two hours after dinner have great potential to lull you into a blissful lull afterwards.
