Understanding Learning Styles

In this workshop, we explore how understanding learning styles (Activist, Reflector, Theorist, Pragmatist) and communication preferences—aligned with the 4 elements (Earth, Water, Air, Fire)—can improve teamwork and efficiency in farm settings.
By recognizing how team members learn, communicate, and collaborate, we can:
  • Foster better understanding and reduce conflicts.
  • Ensure tasks are fairly distributed based on strengths.
  • Build a balanced and inclusive work environment.

Through interactive activities, participants will gain tools to create a harmonious and productive team—rooted in the permaculture ethics of Earth Care, People Care, and Fair Share.

Workshop Schedule

10:00 - 10:30: Introduction – Importance of understanding different ways of learning.
10:30 - 12:30: Exploring learning styles based on the elements (fire, water, air, earth).
12:30 - 14:00: Lunch break – Enjoy a freshly cooked garden meal.
14:00 - 15:30: Group activity – Create a workshop using the acquired knowledge.
15:30 - 16:30: Group presentations – Showcase workshops and ideas.
This schedule promotes practical application and collaboration for an enriching learning experience.
