Deep connective tissue techniques for massage and body therapists
As the demand for Deep Connective Tissue Work is increasing, Perry and Johanna Holloman have developed a series of Deep Bodywork courses which they teach at the Esalen Institute, California and worldwide. Each of these seminars focuses on specific body structures and segments and their functions and possible acute and chronic complaints. After participating in 5 Deep Bodywork courses, the Deep Bodywork Practitioner certificate can be obtained.
Perry and Johanna Holloman developed Deep Bodywork over 30 years ago and lead seminars in the USA, Europe and Asia. They look forward to showing you how you can easily incorporate Deep Bodywork into your existing bodywork practice!
Advanced Shoulder Techniques and Working with Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Deep Bodywork, practiced with great sensitivity, is one of the most effective healing modalities available to the bodywork practitioner. In this seminar, we will learn advanced Deep Tissue techniques on the neck, shoulder, forearm, wrist, and hand which can effectively relieve acute and chronic pain in these areas. This program will focus on exploring the modality of Deep Bodywork as a healing art and is designed for massage and bodywork practitioners seeking to incorporate effective deep tissue techniques into their work. Whether in private practice or working in a hotel or spa, the demand for practitioners is high who incorporate deep tissue skills into their massage work because of ist pain-relieving power.
Our areas of focus in this course will include relieving chronic and acute pain in the neck, shoulder, forearm and hand. We will spend time understanding the growing problem of carpal-tunnel syndrome and how to help relieve it with Deep Bodywork. An important subject will be learning to help clients rediscover their power to self-organize and heal through focusing their awareness on the areas of the body we are touching, and understanding why, at physical, emotional, and energetic levels, Deep Bodywork needs to be done slowly to be most effective.
Perry will be available to answer questions of specific interest to students as they arise during our practice sessions.
