The basic techniques of Esalen massage are taught over two days. These include long, sensitive stroking movements combined with specific work on muscles, connective tissue, and joints. This gives the massage partner a holistic body awareness.
It is possible to join Module 2, which begins the next day, immediately afterwards.
The course includes short lectures, demonstrations, and practical exercise sequences. During the exercise sequences, there is room for individual support for workshop participants.
The workshop is aimed at both individuals and couples who are interested in learning new approaches to massage and bodywork. Both beginners and those with experience in bodywork who want to refresh their basic knowledge or learn about the special features of Esalen massage are welcome.

Course Instructor
Perry HOLLOMAN
has been working at the Esalen® Institute, California since 1979. He is an instructor in Esalen® Massage and founder of the Deep Bodywork® and Somatic Integration® methods. Perry is currently developing the Esalen® Massage Teacher Training and Integrative Gestalt Practice Education at Esalen® Institute.
