Level 8 - Traces of Ki - meridian-free shiatsu incl. practical day (information under "Remarks") and elementary cooking 3

This course focuses on meridian-free shiatsu, which is another central element of our shiatsu. When working without the network of meridians, orientation in the energetic body space of the client becomes important. The techniques of Local Shiatsu are significantly expanded, the understanding of Kyo and Jitsu is deepened, and you learn to give Shiatsu along these patterns of Kyo and Jitsu. The work with connections in the energetic space is addressed; the understanding of Shiatsu as support and accompaniment of processes is deepened. On one day of practical training, the participants, supervised by the teacher and the assistants, treat four clients they do not know. At this stage, the "Integrating" and "Transferring" process phases of the KT competences are deepened and the significance of the core competences in relation to the upcoming case study is explained. The aspects of "case-related collaboration with caregivers" and "interdisciplinary collaboration with other professionals" are also deepened. As part of "Elementary Cookery 3" (with Steven Grütter), traditional home remedies to alleviate a variety of ailments are also taught.

Course objectives

At the end of this course you will:

• have the necessary technical tools to treat localised complaints


• work meridian-free with conspicuous patterns in the client's body space


• follow kyo- or jitsu patterns (and other lines) in the client's body


• find and work with areas of resonance


• invite connections in the body with a light hand and a light mind


• have a deeper understanding of, what effects you can achieve with cooking and have learnt practical examples of the connection between cooking and health

Target group

Participants of the Shiatsu training program at ISS Kiental or other training institutes.

Requirements

Attendance in Level 1-7 at the ISS or equivalent courses at other institutes.

Remarks

55 hours of education, EMR/ASCA compliant, + 6 hours clinic day (Fr. 130.- for the clinic day included in the course costs). Repeater cannot attend to the clinic day and don't pay Fr. 130.-.

Further Information

Between levels 7 and 8, a total of at least 20 treatments must be given (of which at least 20 must be recorded in reports). Between levels 7 and 8, at least 1 tutorial and 1 mentoring session must be completed.

Between levels 8 and 10 the first case study has to be written. This case study will be supervised by one of the teachers or mentors of ISS Kiental. This is usually done in the presence of the teacher or mentor, but can also be done by email or telephone. For this the students take a supervision.
