Level 4 - Osteopathic, Inner Techniques and Hara-Diagnosis

Course content

This course focuses on the introduction to the basic osteopathic techniques, the internal techniques and the hara diagnosis as essential elements of our Shiatsu. The focus is on examination techniques and techniques for working with the spine, sacrum and pelvic girdle. One of the aims is to give the body more mobility and space. Participants learn a whole range of basic osteopathic techniques that they can use to work in this way. A further focus is the introduction to the inner techniques of Shiatsu, which will make it easier to deal with one's own body space and contact with energetic structures such as the meridians. In addition, there is an approach to energetic diagnosis via the hara. With regard to KT competences, aspects of the Shiatsu therapeutic role model and professional identity are discussed, combined with the question: "How do I understand Shiatsu as a method?", and values such as self-esteem and self-responsibility are reflected upon.

Course aim

At the end of this course you will:

• understand the nature of energetic perception more deeply and be able to apply this in practice
• have familiarised yourself with the Inner Techniques
• use one's own inner alignment more purposefully
• touch in a relaxed way from the depth of one's own space
• be able to examine the spine, sacrum and pelvis for blockages and movement restrictions
• have techniques to treat blockages in the spine in a targeted manner
• have techniques to touch imbalances in the sacrum and pelvis in a targeted manner
• experience the depth of the meridian as an energetic structure and be present there in the meridian work
• treat local complaints with simple local techniques
• be able to use basic cranial techniques
• use the Hara diagnosis as an important source of information in your treatments

Target group

Students of the shiatsu training of the ISS Kiental or other schools.

Requirements

Attendance in Level 1-3 at the ISS or equivalent courses at other institutes.

Remarks

56 hours of education EMR/ASCA compliant.

Further Information

At least 20 treatments each must be given between level 3b and 4. At least 10 of these must be recorded in reports. Between levels 3a and 4, at least 1 tutorial must be completed.

Prerequisites

Attendance of level 3 of the training or equivalent knowledge through training stages at other schools.
In preparation for the teaching of the basic osteopathic techniques in level 4, the course "MG 2 Bewegungssystem", as offered at the Kientalerhof, must also be attended by the beginning of level 4.
