Terms of Service

 
The following General Terms and Conditions (GTC) of Kientalerhof AG apply to all offers of Kientalerhof and ChieneHuus.
 
Whenever the term “Kientalerhof” is used in the following, it refers to the entire Kientalerhof AG, which explicitly includes all offers in the ChieneHuus and on www.chienehuus.ch.

Registration

  1. The registration is binding. By registering, you accept the prices and the general terms and conditions of Kientalerhof. We recommend taking out cancellation insurance (Allianz Cancellation Insurance).
  2. With the written confirmation of registration from Kientalerhof, the contract is concluded, and the deposit must in any case be paid. If there are not enough participants, the course may be cancelled up to 10 days before the start date; in this case, the deposit and any other payments will be refunded.
  3. For events with a limited number of participants, admission is determined by the order of registration.

Course Requirements

  1. For courses with special requirements, proof of meeting these requirements must be provided (e.g. information about where and when training was completed).

Translation

  1. Kientalerhof offers professional translation upon request – the costs per translator are as follows: For 1 course participant CHF 140.00/day, for 2 participants CHF 80.00/day per person, for 3 participants CHF 60.00/day per person, and from 4 participants CHF 50.00/day per person.

Fees

  1. The course prices do not include food & accommodation, use of facilities, or the visitor’s tax. For participants staying at Kientalerhof or in the Chienehuus, full board applies.
  2. For participants staying outside Kientalerhof, CHF 10.00 per day will be charged for the use of Kientalerhof facilities.

Discounts

  1. Early bird price: 10% discount on the course fees when payment is made according to the point 13 of the GTC (see also item 20).
  2. For repeating parts of the basic training (attended at Kientalerhof; Shiatsu, Cranio, Esalen Massage, Tronc Commun), we grant a 70% discount on the regular course fees within 8 years, provided the course content has not been fundamentally changed.
  3. For advanced courses, members of SGS, GSD, CS, and VCHtS receive a 10% discount on the course fees, provided membership is proven at the time of registration.
  4. Discounts on course fees are limited to a maximum of 15% and cannot be combined. An exception is made for course repetitions according to the point 9.

Payment

  1. When concluding a contract at the regular price, a deposit of at least 20% of the total cost must be paid within 14 days from the date of the registration confirmation. The remaining payment is due no later than 14 days before the start of the course.
  2. When concluding a contract at the early bird price, a deposit of at least 20% of the total cost must be paid within 14 days from the date of the registration confirmation. The remaining payment is due no later than 60 days before the start of the seminar (i.e., receipt of payment in the Kientalerhof account). For both regular and early bird prices, total amounts under CHF 500.00 are always due within 14 days.
  3. If registration occurs less than 14 days before the start of the course, the total amount is due immediately.
  4. In exceptional situations, a special written payment agreement may be arranged.

Withdrawal from contract, Changes

  1. (Cancellation conditions for cures see point 23) If a course is cancelled by Kientalerhof, all payments made will be fully refunded or, with the consent of the participant, credited toward a future course.
  2. A contract can be transferred to another person up to the start of the course, provided the replacement person meets the course requirements. The replacement must be arranged by the cancelling customer. The processing fee is CHF 50.00.
  3. If a customer cancels a regular-price course contract up to 14 days before the start of the course, the 20% deposit will be forfeited to Kientalerhof.
  4. If a customer cancels a regular-price course contract less than 14 days before the start of the course, the full contract amount will be forfeited to Kientalerhof.
  5. If a customer cancels an early bird course contract up to 61 days before the start of the course, the 20% deposit will be forfeited; for later cancellations, the full contract amount will be forfeited to Kientalerhof.
  6. In case of cancellation for valid reasons (illness, accident), a medical certificate must be provided. A cancellation fee of CHF 50.00 will be charged, and the remaining amount can be used within 1 year for other services (cancellation conditions for a cure see point 23).
  7. For cancellations of room bookings by external seminar providers and hotel guests, a cancellation fee of CHF 75.00 will be charged from 3 days before the arrival date. For cancellations on the arrival day or no-shows, the full reservation amount is due.
  8. For cancellations of an Ayurveda or fasting cure, the following conditions apply:
    Cancellations must be communicated in writing.
    For cancellations up to 60 days before the start of the cure, no cancellation fees apply.
    For cancellations from 59 to 30 days before the start of the cure, a processing fee of CHF 50.- will be charged.
    For cancellations between 11 and 30 days before the start of the cure, 50% of the course and accommodation costs will be charged.
    For cancellations within 10 days before the start of the cure, 100% of the course and accommodation costs will be charged.
    For no-shows or early departures, 100% of the course and accommodation costs will be charged.
    We recommend taking out cancellation insurance (Allianz Cancellation Insurance).
  9. Rescheduling a seminar is possible for in-house seminars up to 14 days before the start of the course. After that, points 17, 19, and 21 of our GTC apply. A processing fee of CHF 50.00 will be charged for rescheduling. The remaining paid amount will be credited to a newly booked course.
  10. For cancellations within 24 hours before the treatment appointment, the full invoice amount will be charged.
  11. For re-issuance of documents, we charge according to time spent, but at least a processing fee of CHF 50.

Changes on behalf of Kientalerhof

  1. Kientalerhof reserves the right to make short-term changes to the curriculum and to the teaching staff.
  2. Kientalerhof reserves the right to adjust prices from the published program in special situations. In such a case, the customer has the right to withdraw from an existing registration without incurring any costs.

Liability/Insurance

  1. For all courses organized by Kientalerhof, any liability for damages is excluded. Guests and participants are liable for any damages caused by themselves, their children, or their animals in the rooms, public areas, and course rooms. Therefore, participants are responsible for ensuring they have sufficient insurance coverage.

Self responsibility

  1. We would like to point out that our seminars do not replace medical or psychological treatment. Participants are responsible for their own well-being during the course. Kientalerhof assumes no liability for any health-related problems or disorders that may arise in connection with the course. Individuals who are seriously ill or suffer from a psychological disorder are asked to contact Kientalerhof before registering. Please describe any health issues and indicate whether you are currently taking regular medication (if yes, which ones).

EMR/ASCA Conformity

  1. Our professional continuing education courses meet the requirements of EMR and ASCA. Whether a course is recognized as continuing education for your registered method is determined solely by EMR and ASCA and therefore cannot be guaranteed by Kientalerhof. In case of doubt, please clarify the recognition directly with EMR / ASCA.
