The idea of the Mushroom MeetUp is that every participant is a living chapter in the human library of mycology.
This event pretends to be the essence of shared knowledge and collaboration. Just as a diverse library of stories, our community brings together individuals with varied mushroom experiences. Seasoned foragers, amateur cultivators, and curious minds become a walking, talking resource, fostering an inclusive space where insights flourish and the mycological unfold through collective wisdom.

Workshop Description

"Mushroom Meetup," a casual and inclusive event where individuals with varying levels of mushroom knowledge come together to share their passion. This organized day is open to anyone interested in mushrooms, whether you're an experienced forager or someone eager to learn more about the fascinating world of fungi.

Our agenda includes friendly discussions, hands-on activities, and a space for individuals to share their insights, experiences, and discoveries. Whether you're a seasoned mushroom expert or a curious novice, this gathering is designed to create a supportive environment for mutual learning and exploration. Join us for a day of camaraderie, curiosity, and a shared love for all things mycological!

Workshop will be held in English.

A participation should not fail due to lack of money, contact us if you need support.

This contribution covers the minimal costs and effort for this workshop. We offer this option for low-income earners.

CHF 125*
The costs for the preparation and implementation of the workshop are covered and a small contribution can be made to the permaculture project, which enables its preservation

CHF 165*
All costs for the preparation and implementation of the workshop are
covered and a large contribution can flow into the Naturhof Permaculture project, which enables further development.

Elena ABRIL

is certified in permaculture design from Bristol and Bulgaria, she's developed her skills for over three years. Elena's expertise extends to bioconstruction, natural cosmetics, and eco-friendly daily cleaning supplies. Her mission? To elevate the worth of agroforestry yields and craft valuable products from them. Beyond her professional pursuits, Elena is also learning to be part of a donkey herd, embracing the wisdom of animal-human dynamics. With passion and purpose, Elena embodies a commitment to sustainable living and community empowerment.

Julia SCHMIDLIN

Jules ist in Basel gross geworden und mit biologischem Gemüse aufgewachsen. Dies legte nahe, später in dieser Richtung weiterzugehen. Mit einem Volontariat bei Urban Agriculture Basel starteten die ersten Erfahrungen in verschiedenen Gemeinschaftsgärten im Raum Basel. Mit der unabhängigen Gemüsebauausbildung F.A.M.E hat Jules auf 2 Gemüseabobetrieben in der Region Basel reichlich Erfahrungen gesammelt. Durch das Workstudy-Programm am Kientalerhof hat Jules den Weg zum Naturhof gefunden. Nun ist Jules für den Gemüsegarten verantwortlich und legt Wert auf einen diversen und kleinstrukturierten Anbau. Als offene und humorvolle Person freut sich Jules auf eine gemeinschaftliche und herzliche Saison am Naturhof im Kiental.
